MODULE#5

Video (filmed with Screenflow™): 16:9, color, no sound, 13:23 min.

Life-size video installation / Virtual Reality

MODULE #5 is a digital performance that visualizes the re-construction of the former artwork MODULE #2 / MODULES #3 / MODULES #4 (INSIDE OUT / OUTSIDE IN)* and transfers it as a 3D model into a virtual space/environment. MODULE #5 questions the mobility of physically constructed spaces/artworks and their virtual storage possibilities. The work can be seen as a new, extended dimension within our common perception of spatial construction and result into different perception of the performativity of virtual spaces and digitally archived artworks.

In form and content, MODULE #5 is a modifiable structure – a set made from standardized parts – based on the dimensions of conventional 2x2m stage components, evolving into a composition of independent modules. Merged variations and manifold configurations result into functional, modular scores.

The virtual space serves as a base/building area – a stage – equipped with a number of objects. It describes the performative occupation of the virtual space and its capability for spatial transformation.
